Otukpo cult clash: Hon. Egli Ahubi condemns killings, preaches peaceful coexistence

Hon. Egli Johnson Ahubi, the deputy speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and flagbearer for Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections has condemned the recent killings perpetrated by suspected cultists in Otukpo.

Recall that 4 persons were brutally murdered, including a graduate of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo who just completed his NYSC within the space of 48 hours in Otukpo in the last quarter of October, 2018

The lawmaker in a statement issued on Thursday through his personal assistant, Hon. Adah Alechenu said that “it’s disheartening to know that promising young men and women engage in acts that is deteriorating especially at points where we all are looking forward to means of reviving our economy and system for the betterment of Benue State and Nigeria as a whole.

“We need to outlive this way of life and embrace peace in our community for us to thrive and reach our goals.”

The Benue number four man went further to urge all residents to be vigilant and always report any suspicious move noticed in their area to the security.
