Idoma Peace Movement (IPM), a non-partisan but progressive group constituted by concerned Idoma youths from all around Benue South has condemned in deep sense the incessant killings among youths in Otukpo and other surburb of Idoma Nation as a result of the high perpetrations of cult related activities.
IPM in a statement by Comr. Oche Ochai Aboyi on Sunday October 28th, 2018 issued in Otukpo described the act as inhumane, barbaric and uncultured saying that “it’s quite unfortunate that uncouth behaviors that are credited to aliens in the past are gradually becoming a norm as no day passes by without people dieing unjustly all in the name of cultism.
“3 persons were terribly murdered on Saturday 27th, including a freshly graduated student of Benue State Polytechnic who just completed his NYSC.
“Today Sunday October 28th, a young man identified as Raphael was killed in the early hours of the day in similar way around Total fueling station Otukpo.
The apolitical group went further to say that they are using the medium to appeal to anyone who has been affected by the dreaded trend to please take heart and live “vengeance for God”.
The group also urged different security agencies to stay alert in order to avert the occurrence of similar incident and also arrest anybody found wanting with immediate effect so as to reduce the menace to the minimum.
