Otukpo: George Alli submits names of Ene Yusuf, Shadrach Abu as Supervisory Councilors to Legislative House for screening, confirmation.

 

In line with the constitution and law of the State which made provision for the appointments of Supervisory Councilors at the third tier of government by the Local Government Chairmen, Rt. Hon. George Alli, the Executive Chairman of the Otukpo Local Government Area Council has Monday , August 3rd, 2020 sent names of the nominees for Supervisory councilorship positions.

The names sent to the Legislative arm of the council for screening and confirmation includes:

(1)King Shadrach Abu

(2) Ene Yusuf

(3) Anthony Ogbu

(4)Francis Ogbole Odeeh

(5) Hon Otache Reuben.

The Supervisory Councillors are appointed by the Chairman with the approval of the Council to supervise the affairs of specific departments in the Local Government assigned to them.

Hon. Alli however, also appointed the following as his Advisers;

(1) Hon Abel Otobi (Adviser Special Duties and Religious Affairs).

(2) Hon Igoche Ikwue (Adviser on security)

(3) Desmond Oogwu (Media and Gender)

He implore the councilors to do thorough screening of all the nominees.
