Otukpo market disaster: Sen Abba Morro sympathises with victims, tasks govt on preventive measures

Abba Moro, Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, has sympathized with victims of the fire disaster in Otukpo main market.

A fire outbreak in Otukpo main market had on Monday destroyed goods and property worth millions of Naira.

However, Moro commiserated with those whose goods and shops were destroyed in the fire outbreak and prays for a better future for them.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Ameh Godwin, the Senator called for “assistance from government and spirited individuals” for the victims.

He also urged relevant authorities to look into the causes of the incessant fire outbreaks in Otukpo market, with a view to preventing future reoccurrence.

The lawmaker commended Otukpo Local Government and the State Fire Service, that helped to put out the fire.
