“Otukpo na our Lagos” is still utopia (Opinion)

By: Abah Anthony Ekere

We all have political ideological leaning but our collective development ought to be supreme at all time. You flag of a road construction during an election period, you were given the benefits of doubt, a road that was long approved before that period. Up to this moment, we are making excuses in the name of compensation is being arranged. Hello, nobody is saying the road won’t be done, its must be done, nobody is saying the project set out to be a scam.

However, the paparazzi that took place in Otukpo which gave all of us the impression that its will be done before the election is a big scam.

The only work done on that road since that paparazzi took place is the initial gragra, is taking the government more than six months to discuss compensation, do they not know about the compensation before the flag off paparazzi? Elections are over, the sense of urgency is unnecessary abi?

I pray this compensation don’t last for another one to four years.

It’s appealing how we seems to approve everything that comes from our side of the ideological divide while seeing nothing good at the other side, even when they objectively critique.

Go to other part of Nigeria where small development is ongoing, the people no longer make excuses for the leaders and government, when the effort is not good enough, speak out. Person no dey die two times, las las, something must kill a man…
