The House of Representatives candidate for the Peoples Democratic party for Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, Engr Egli Johnson Ahubi got a boost as the entire Adoka people have thrown their supports behind him.
The event which took place on Friday January 25th, 2019 at Adoka center saw cream de la creame of Adoka political protagonists endorsing the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly.
In a unanimous decision after a comprehensive adumbrations of his stewardship, the community said they would support him in his quest to go to the National Assembly.
Spokesmen of the various Adoka communities,Eche Abogonye, Otokula Oloche and Chief Okoh Achegbulu, who spoke called on Egli Johnson Ahubi to look into their problems when voted.
They listed some of their problems as lack of potable drinking water, health facilities as well as unemployment of the youth.
The community told the parliamentarian to be that if after supporting him and he wins and failed to live up to their request, he should not bother to step on the soil of Adoka for future elections.
Responding, Egli Johnson Ahubi who is the current Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly assured the people that he would not disappoint them if given the chance to represent them.
He asked the people of Adoka to find out from the people of Otukpo/Akpa to see if he has not lived up to expectations.
He listed grading of numerous roads, electrification of some communities, scholarship, payment of hospital bills for people of his constituency as some of his modest achievements.
The event was graced by former Special Assistant to the then Senate President, Dr FridayAdakole Elijah, former council chairman of Otukpo LGC, Gabriel Olofu, former Vice Chairman, Samuel Eineje Attah, former PDP chairman, Momoh Uji Simon, Managing Director of Aleji Oil, Alexander Aleji.
Others were, Chief Akpe Obogo, Hon. Adah Alechenu, Samuel Inalegwu, Susan Oonye, Ene Yusuf, Daniel Okwa and host of others.
