The Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Otukpo/Ohimini federal Constituency in the forthcoming election has said that he is optimistic about winning the Saturday polls.
Hon. Egli made the declaration during the grand finale of his Ward2Ward tour in Otukpo township ward I, II and III on Tuesday February 12th, 2019.
According to him: “I’m positive my records will speak for me during this election. No back biting or derogatory statements on my personality can hinder God’s plan for me. I know i have won already.” He added.
Also speaking: Hon. Mrs Abeje Cynthia Egwa, the Benue PDP women leader warn the Otukpo people against voting for any party other than PDP.
In her words: “We are on the verge of deciding the fate of the next four years of our lives. Let’s make no mistake in voting for those who promised us change but brought pain and crisis upon us. Make no mistake in voting for those who have benefitted greatly from PDP but still trying one way or the other to pull the party down because they contested primaries and lost.
“It’s an abomination for a hen to crow. If you contest an election and lost, it doesn’t mean all is over for you. Let’s learn to avoid biting the fingers that ever fed us. ” She added.
