The Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly on Sunday February 10th, 2019 recieved the royal blessing of the Ugboju traditional council in Ogoli to run for the Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency seat.
Hon. Egli Ahubi who is the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Federal constituency (Otukpo/Ohimini) was extol by the kinsmen for appointing two of their children as Special Assistants to Governor Samuel Ortom through his office and disbursing of two transformers to Ugboju-Ehaje communities.
HRH Solomon Apochi who spoke on behalf of the entire Ugboju at his palace commended Hon. Egli for operating an inclusive government dispite the fact that Ugboju is presently outside his current jurisdiction which is Otukpo/Akpa State constituency.
According to him :” treating the Ugboju people like your immediate constituents already shows clearly that if you are giving a higher platform, you will do better for our people.
“We as chief’s are not supposed to take part in political activities but at this point we should also note that that the government of the day is for us and we are for the government anytime, anyday.” The royal father added.
Hon. Egli on his path appreciated the chiefs as he urged them to advise the youths towards the coming elections.
Also present at the event is Hon. Micheal Audu, the Ugboju/Adoka state constituency candidate of the PDP, Hon. Chief SJ Audu, Chief Dr, Adakole Friday Elijah, Hon. Engr. Francis Ogbanje, Hon. Momoh Uji, Rt. Hon. Oklo Oklo, Hon. Adah Alechenu, Chief Akpe Obogo, amongst others.
