Otukpo Sanitation: Local Government sanitation taskforce apprehends 2 for violation

The Otukpo Local Government Environmental Taskforce have apprehended two persons, Ukwueze Francis and Augustine onugwu of no 19, Ugboju street, Otukpo, for dumping of refuse into gutters that were recently cleared by Youths in Otukpo. They have since been handed over to the Nigerian Police, Otukpo Division.

Reacting to the development, the Caretaker Chairman Of Otukpo Local Government, Rt. Hon. George Alli who recently mobilized some youths in Otukpo on a “Do-It-Yourself”, sanitation campaign, said, “We want to send a strong message to those who may want to sabotage our efforts to keep Otukpo clean, that we are in for business.”

Alli called on the people of Otukpo to support his government’s effort to rid Otukpo of dirt. He said, government cannot succeed alone without the corporation of the people.
