Otukpo township road: Our shame at home by Enenche Enenche

One of my mandates and passions is to look at authorities in the eyes and tell them raw truth. I saw this in 2011, wept and cried. Many of you called me names.

Because I cried out, I was insulted and blacklisted. Just like yesterday, reality now dawns on us.

We had our chances, we blew it away. Only heaven knows when a fellow kinsman would get closer to core powers like we had between 2007 -2015.

I am not here to blame Okpani Mark, every leader has his strengths and weakness, I blame my people who out of hunger and fear didn’t speak out when the likes of Andy Kaggwa Obeya Ameh Comrade Godwin-Azikiwe Abah Emmanuel and others voiced out with fierced passion.

The power to fix this road is no longer in our hands, we are now at the mercy of those who took away power when we went “Marking the Ball”.

A spiritual leader from my side of the country too sees me as an “enemy”. I am willing to be “enemy” to any authority as long as what makes me an “enemy” is the bitter truths I am inspired to tell them.

It is dangerous for a leader to build a system where all you hear is praise singing… and that is the kind of system you find in my side of the country. “Leaders can never be wrong”.

Please enjoy the road like this, we had our chances and blew it. If we are sincere enough and historical in our analysis, it is clearly written on the wall that the dusts that choked and took life away from Golf Course Otukpo empire starting from Otukpo/Otukpa road disaster.

We cried, if he had done things differently, he probably wouldn’t have ended like he did. I love that man. I never hated him, but telling him raw truth made his followers think I hate him.

No right thinking man or his strongest supporter would walk on Federal road Otukpo today and be proud of his stewardship especially between 2007 to 2015, not even himself would be proud of it.

You can see clearly I am not his enemy but friend.

As far as Federal Road Otukpo is concerned, we still have long walk to friend. Not even the current Senator who is in opposition at the center with lesser political powers can maneuvere things.

Our time don pass, if we use am well, history would judge.
