The Nelson Alapa Campaign Organisation has refuted the media hearsay that it has withdrawn its pending case against his opponent in the last election, Ezekiel Adaji from the tribunal.
Alapa had earlier approached the tribunal to call for the cancelation of the election over issue bothering on irregularities.
However, the mediasphere was recently awash with the news that the renowned philanthropist has abdicated from the fight to reclaim his alleged stolen mandate.
Alapa, while reacting to the hearsay through his media aide, Lawrence Okoh called on the general public to ignore the rumour, saying that his stolen mandate would be restored in no distant time.
The terse statement reads in full:
“Contrary to insinuations making the rounds, the All Progressives Congress Standard bearer for Otukpo / Ohimini Federal Constituency in the just concluded elections Chief Nelson Alapa will like to make it abundantly clear that he has at no point in time withdrawn the pending case at the elections tribunal sighting that such rumours are a handy work of mischief makers who do not mean well for his Constituency.
“He emphasized that his is the people’s mandate and no demon from the pit of hell that can deprive them of their deserved mandate calling on the people particularly his constituents to beware of rumours and remain focused as their mandate will soon be restored.”
