The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that its X account, previously known as Twitter, is undergoing an upgrade.
The agency’s account, which boasts over two million followers, has been inaccessible for several days. The landing page now displays a message: “The term you entered did not bring up any results. Please try again later.”
Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s spokesperson, explained to NAN that the downtime is due to ongoing upgrades.
“Our X account is temporarily down for upgrades, but we will be back online soon,” Oyewale said. “System upgrades can cause temporary outages, but this is necessary to improve our service to the public.”
He assured that the commission’s other social media platforms remain operational during this period.
