A disturbing viral video has surfaced, showing a terrorist displaying money obtained from ransom payments, uploaded on the social network TikTok.
The video was initially shared by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst based in Lake Chad, who posted it on his X handle on Monday.
Makama revealed that the account user has amassed over 3,000 followers, among whom are individuals openly identifying as bandits, showcasing firearms, and sometimes donning military or police attire.
Expressing concern, Makama lamented the lack of restrictions on the TikTok platform, allowing insurgents to freely promote their campaign of terror.
He stated, “Audacity: A bandit on TikTok flaunting and displaying ransom money obtained from victims. The account holder has 3,000 followers, some of whom openly display firearms and wear military or police uniforms. TikTok has provided insurgents with a platform to advance their terror agenda without facing limitations.”
