Panic as cultists clash in Agege

Residents and commuters in Agege were thrown into panic on Monday morning as cultists clash at Orile, Agege, Mulero, and Agbotikuyo areas of Lagos State.

Residents and commuters scampered for safety as fights broke out among cultists identified as Awawa boys.

Eyewitnesses say the armed hoodlums used the mayhem to rob commuters and shop owners.

Reports say hoodlums have been wreaking havoc unabated in Agege following the Endsars protest.

On Sunday, three firemen from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service were injured by some hoodlums operating in the area.

The hoodlums prevented the firefighters from attending to an emergency fire incident and destroyed the fire engine.
