Tragedy was averted on Monday 1 March, after men of the Federal Fire Service responded promptly to extinguished a petro tanker which went in flames after it failed break and fell on the road in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the incident happened around 3:30 PM on Monday at the High-Level axis of the town.
According to local blog, Benue info-pedia, the driver lost control of the truck carrying fuel when the brakes failed, causing the truck tyres to burst at High-Level round about, Makurdi.
