Panic as unknown helicopter allegedly drops items for insurgents in Benue, others

Former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum, Audu Ogbe has revealed that “a yet-to-be identified helicopter has reportedly dropped some items believed to be weapons for insurgents in Benue, Taraba and Borno States.”

Chief Audu Ogbe, a native of Benue State made this revelation in Wednesday via a statement on behalf of the forum.

The statement, however, expressed the forum’s happiness with the federal government’s decision to ban flights in Zamfara state.

Consequently, the ACF, has appealed to the Federal Government to extend its “no fly zone” order on other states with security challenges like Zamfara.

“We believe that such an extended ban will curtail the operations of the criminals in these areas,” ACF said.
