Passenger stranded as commercial drivers protest in Lagos
Public transport operators in Lagos State are currently engaged in a protest, causing inconvenience for commuters stranded at various bus stops and motor parks in the bustling commercial hub of the nation.
According to reports the protest has forced commuters to cover significant distances on foot to reach their workplaces, shops, and other business destinations.
Allegedly, the commercial drivers have initiated this strike in response to what they claim is undue extortion from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and the state’s Task Force.
As highlighted by The Punch, the protest is actively unfolding at Mangoro bus stop in Lagos State, with the presence of state security officials at the protest site.
