Femi Adesina, Buhari’s spokesman in a statement on Tuesday, said he joined the teeming followers of the revered cleric to celebrate him as he joins the octogenarian club.
The President recalled his private and public meetings Adeboye, “most remarkably the visit when he was recuperating in London, 2017”.
Buhari thanked the Pastor for his warmth and friendliness, which also extends to leaders and others from all walks of life.
He said the celebrant’s contributions to the society stand out clearly as testimonies of his divine calling, impacting on education, health and infrastructure.
“The President salutes the focus of the RCCG leader on works of the Kingdom and peace for the nation, praying that his path will be like a shining light, with grace for good health and strength”, the statement added.
