The last time I checked, the Pastor of COZA is not contesting for any political office. If Donald Trump can win an election in a civilized America with all the barrage of allegations and accusations against him, I don’t know why COZA must die because of unproven allegations.
With our dwindling economy and harder path to fame, blackmail has become a companion of fools.
Like everyone of us, Pastor Biodun is a sinner. The good news is that that’s why Jesus came to die for us. The better news is that he has also acknowledged Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour.
From Bible days, the strategy has been “strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter”. But it’s the scattering that brought the gospel to you and I.
Those who knew Pastor Biodun in his growing up days in Ilorin knew him to be a very rough guy. But God has also given him a message for other rough guys.
I was at COZA once during Bishop TD Jakes visit. It was a wonderful atmosphere. I have also interacted with members of the church and they are a great people.
In the last two years, two churches have been birthed out of House on the Rock, the Refuge, Abuja.
When our Senior Pastor, Goodheart O. Ekwueme left to start RHOGIC, I knew it was for good. God will always go ahead of his people to prepare a place for them.
Only recently, Dr Chinedu Nwosu went to start another ministry, THE BRIDGE at the Silver Bird Galleria. The inaugural service is slated for July 7 and its good news for Abuja Youths and the upwardly mobile because another “whatz up” Pastor is in town.
The undiscerning will call them businessmen, but these are no poor men by any standard. They are God’s servants. They are great men of God that I know personally and regardless their fashion and style, they always come with the undiluted word of God.
So let me state emphatically here that “I STAND WITH PASTOR BIODUN” and believe that “God’s strength is made perfect in his weaknesses”. Even though I don’t support rape or sexual assault, I see what’s going on as a blackmail. God has his ways of correcting his servants and if Pastor Biodun has sinned, “only God has he sinned against”.
COZA used to operate at the “Thisday Dome” in Central Area when he was first accused of sexual assault. Today, the church has moved to its permanent site and the church is still marching on. “The accusers of the brethren” are still struggling for fame and will pop up their heads whenever Pastor Biodun is mentioned. Oh death, where is thy sting?
If you’re a member of the COZA family and your faith is wavered, know that God has created more tents around you so that when the shepherd is struck, the sheep won’t have to wander far before finding pasture.
From House on the Rock to RHOGIC, THE BRIDGE to Good Tidings, Living Faith, DUNAMIS, TREM, The Redeemed and all the other churches in the neighborhood, God knew that a day like this will come.
The legendary Sir Nelson Mandela went all the way to address the American Congress as he stood with Bill Clinton. Today, Hillary Clinton knows what it takes to stand with her husband in the days of tribulations. If I may ask, where is Monica Lewinsky?
When David Beckham joined Real Madrid, an Assistant hired to make life comfortable for him in his new city turned around to become an accuser. With all the fame, Victoria Beckham stood by her husband and today, their children are better for it. No one remembers Rebecca Loo any longer.
So to the wife of Pastor Biodun, after all the midnight cries, the advice is mine and I would say “Stand by your husband” but the final decision is yours.
For all the “rape victims” that are still warming up and rehearsing at music studios, please also remember to tell us that Agbero and Okada rider who raped you. It must not always be a popular guy. The embargo has been lifted and it’s time for all rape and sexual assault victims to speak out.
