Ace journalist and acclaimed father of tabloid journalism in Nigeria, Mike Awoyinfa, has reacted to the death of Pastor Danujma Tafewa-Balewa of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Cornerstone Parish, also known as My Father’s House, Okota.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Pastor Pastor Tafewa-Balewa died at the early hours of Saturday after battling coronavirus complications.
He was aged 61. His wife, Mrs. Vera Tafewa-Balewa is a native of Orokam in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State.
Reacting to the sad development, Awoyinfa, who is also a member of the RCCG Cornerstone Parish, Okota, described.
He wrote, “His life’s work is done. Adieu Pastor Tafawa Balewa Danjuma, 61, just this August. Thank you for Cornerstone Church My Father’s House, Okota. You left behind this edifice as a legacy of your leadership and hard work in God’s Vineyard. Shame on Covid. The church of God will keep marching on. The gates of hell will not prevail against it. You played your part. May the Lord receive you as a VIP in Heaven. I will miss you my friend and my Pastor.”
