Prominent gospel minister Nathaniel Bassey and popular cleric Pastor Jerry Eze have raised fresh alarms over the escalating insecurity challenges across the country, urging authorities to respond with urgency to the spread of terrorism, bandit attacks, and rampant kidnappings.

In a Wednesday post on social media, Pastor Eze issued a prayerful but stern appeal against those behind the violence, declaring, “About time, God of judgement spares no enemy of Nigeria and their sponsors in Jesus’ name. Enough is enough of this banditry, terrorism, and wickedness.”

Bassey, also reacting to the worsening situation, lamented the growing wave of attacks and called for stronger accountability and firm action from those in power.

He appealed to the government, security operatives, intelligence units, and Nigerians at large to work collectively to confront criminal elements threatening national stability.

Reassuring citizens, he added, “Peace shall reign in Nigeria. Nigeria shall prosper and fulfil her destiny in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Their comments come in the wake of disturbing security incidents, including the invasion of a Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State, where gunmen killed at least two worshippers, and the abduction of 25 female students from Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, an attack that also claimed the life of a staff member.

The wave of violence has triggered outrage nationwide, with several entertainers, actors, and comedians joining the call for the government to act decisively to stem the growing insecurity.
