Pastor Ezekiel Atang: Life and times of renowned marriage coach

Pastor Ezekiel Atang was the 4th child born into the family of Lt. Cdr. Friday and Head-Sister Rebecca Friday Atang. He hails from Ikot Udota in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state.

He had his primary education in Nigerian Navy Primary school, Apapa, Malu road, Lagos. He began his secondary education at Etinan Institute and graduated from the prestigious Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene.

He proceeded to the University of Calabar where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Marketing.

Marital & Ministry Assignment
In December 2001, he tied the knot with God’s perfectly designed partner for his life; Dr. Dara Atang.

Having served under the ministry of a spiritual mentor and father for fifteen years, he responded to the call of God to start his own work of ministry, precisely on the 16th of April 2006.Pastor Ezekiel Atang is the Lead Pastor of God’s House of Refuge situated in Uyo, Nigeria.

He was an International Relationship expert, author and speaker. He is the founder and CEO of Fresh Wine for Couples International, an organization that enriches marriages and relationships through seminars, conferences and Marriage Schools. These conferences have been held in cities like Philadelphia, Chicago, Ghana, etc

He was also the facilitator of Singles Frank Talk, which is known for drawing upward of 6-8,000 youths monthly. He is the author of the best seller “Understanding Sex” including other books like; Lord, am still single, why? The marriage parable, Overcoming Masturbation, Sex and Destiny, Communication without Contention, Transforming your marriage in 40days etc

 

He had a passion to minimise the rate of divorce globally, impart youths with the consciousness of destiny early in life and re-establish biblical marital and family values. As a pastor, he focuses on raising a changed people that will become agents of change in their generation. His weekly TV broadcast “Living Streams” has been therapeutic for families going by the testimonies.

He married Dr. Dara Atang who pastors with him in the ministry and their union is blessed with 3 children, Levi, Olive and Ephraim.

He died on Feb 20, 2022.
