Pastor George accused of defiling 5-year-old girl two days to his wedding

A Pastor identified as George, has been arrested by men of the Imo State Police Command, for allegedly defiling his neighbor’s five-year-old daughter in Umuguma, Owerri area of the State.

According to Sweet Mothers Foundation, the suspect who is said to marry in two days, was arrested following a report by the victim’s mother’s brother. She said she had returned home on Tuesday, and met her moody daughter, which prompted her to interrogate the victim.

It was then her daughter revealed that she had gone to play with a friend when the suspect asked her to accompany him to his house and ordered her to lay on bare toilet tiles, where he raped her and threatened to murder her if she said a word to anyone.

The mother afraid to call out the Man of God, spoke to a few women and word got to her brother. An alarm was raised, and George was accosted. He denied knowing the victim and blamed his plumber when interrogated. The victim insisted he was the culprit and he was arrested while she was rushed to the hospital to receive treatment.
