Pastor Kumuyi joins inauguration prayer convocation for Trump

Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, participated in the Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation held ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

The event, organized by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World ministry in collaboration with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, took place at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.

The gathering was a special event for faith leaders to come together and intercede for the nation and its incoming administration.

Kumuyi, a well-known Nigerian pastor and global religious figure, was among the invited speakers and took part in prayers for the future of the United States under Trump’s leadership.

In his address, Pastor Kumuyi prayed fervently for the unity of the country, spiritual revival, and a renewed focus on righteousness.

He encouraged Christians to pursue holiness, stressing that these values are crucial for national transformation and progress.

His heartfelt prayer reflected his desire for divine guidance for the new president, with an emphasis on ensuring that Trump’s leadership would be marked by wisdom and faithfulness.

Kumuyi also offered a prayer during an interview with SRN News on the eve of the inauguration, saying: “Almighty God, You chose to bring President-Elect Donald Trump to Your throne and to lead at this time.

We’re asking that Your grace will be with him through Your wisdom and Your power.

And we pray You will help him remain focused on all the things he’s brought out in his campaign of giving Christ the recognition and the honour that He deserves. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.”

While in Washington, Pastor Kumuyi also met with several prominent individuals, including Robert Pittenger, former North Carolina Representative, and Lucas Miles, Senior Director of Turning Point USA Faith.

Kumuyi discussed opportunities for global evangelism, reflecting on the potential for collaboration to spread the message of Christianity and promote national and global transformation.

On social media, Kumuyi expressed his excitement, saying, “The harvest is plentiful, let’s pray for open doors and hearts ready to receive the Gospel! We believe in the power of the Gospel to transform lives and nations. Exciting times ahead!”
