Paul Pogba set for comeback after 18-Month doping ban

Paul Pogba is set for a potential return to football after serving an 18-month doping suspension, opening the door for a new chapter in his career.

The World Cup-winning midfielder was initially handed a four-year ban after testing positive for doping in September 2023. However, following a successful appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), his suspension was reduced to 18 months, officially ending on March 11.

Pogba, now a free agent, has been without a club since Juventus terminated his contract on November 15. With his return imminent, speculation over his next move has intensified, with several clubs reportedly interested in signing the 31-year-old.

A potential third spell at Manchester United was once on the cards, with reports suggesting Pogba had been in contact with new United boss Ruben Amorim.

However, talks have cooled in recent weeks, and fresh reports have linked Manchester City with an unexpected interest in the midfielder.

Despite City’s rumored interest, a move to the Etihad appears unlikely due to Pogba’s deep ties to United. Instead, Major League Soccer (MLS) has emerged as a more viable destination.

The Frenchman has been spotted at several MLS matches in recent weeks, fueling speculation about his desire to play in the league.

David Beckham’s Inter Miami is reportedly leading the race for Pogba’s signature, with the Florida-based club eager to add another high-profile name to its squad.
