Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar was the first person that called for the resignation of the PDP chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
Wike said he had a private meeting with Atiku after the PDP convention and the former said Ayu should resign since the ticket had gone to the north.
The governor, however, wondered why Atiku reneged in his words and now insisted that Ayu should remain.
Wike said he is not bothered if Atiku needs him or not, but time will tell.
