Former Nigerian vice president, Atiku Abubakar has said his meeting with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, was fruitful.
Atiku, who arrived in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, revealed this while speaking with journalists on Thursday.
The former presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in 2019 said he was in Port Harcourt to reconcile with Governor Wike on party affairs and position the party to take over power at the centre in 2023.
According to him, Nigerians cannot wait to have the PDP in power in 2023.
In his words” I came here to reconcile with the governor on party affairs and how we can ensure that there is unity and stability in the party so that we can take over the government in 2023.
“I believe Nigerians can’t wait for 2023 to come, so that PDP will return.”
The former Vice President also described Wike as the “top most” governor in Nigeria going by his developmental strides.
