The Benue State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) on Thursday inaugurated Hon Augustine Zahan and Hon Utov Abraham as new council chairmen of the party for Gwer West and Ukum LGA respectfully
Recall that PDP had earlier inaugurated council excos in the state and this is occassioned by the demise of the chairmen of the affected council area.
The event was presided over by the state Chairman of the party, Hon John Ngbede and the oath of office was administered on the inaugurated chairmen by the state legal Adviser, Barr Clement Mue.
Hon Ngbede charged the new chairmen to consult widely with stakeholders in the discharge of their duties carrying and also work in synergy with the elders and youths of the party in their area.
He urged them to keep the flag of the party flying to build a formidable party in their respective area and not to betray the confidence reposed in them by party me.
In their response, the inaugurated council chairmen promised to do their best , carry out all duties assigned to them and to deliver the party in their council areas.
A minute silence was observed in memory of the deceased party chairmen of Gwer East and Ukum council by the party.
In attendance were members of the state working committee and party supporters from Gwer West and Ukum LGA.
