PDP official website still lists Dave Umahi, Ayade, Matawalle as members

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is still laying claim to some of its members who have since defected from the party to the All Progressives Congress, IDOMA VOICE can exclusively report.

This was discovered by IDOMA VOICE during a visit to the official portal of the party https://peoplesdemocraticparty.com.ng/ on Friday afternoon.

The opposition party named three former governors who had since left for the ruling APC as its members.

Among those listed is Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State.
However, findings by IDOMA VOICE showed that Ayade had in May pitched his tent with the ruling party.

The governor on his reason for dumping the party said, “Buhari’s commitment to the development of the country is commendable. It is obvious at this point that we need to join hands with him to build a nation that we all can be proud of.”
Similarly, the website still carries Bello Matawalle as a member of the PDP.
Matawalle left the PDP for the APC in June 2021.
Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, who left the party in November 2021, also appeared on the site as a member of the party.
