Senator Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader and representative of Benue South Senatorial District, has cautioned members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State against defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He made this plea during a caucus meeting of the party held at the State Secretariat in Makurdi on Monday.
According to Senator Moro, the APC-led government in the state has become a one-man dictatorship, and all past PDP administrations have performed better.
He urged party members to remain united and work towards rescuing the state from the current “draconian rule.”
“We must choose the best to work for the party. APC is making mistakes already as the party has become a one-man show. Let’s put our house in order. Let us avoid division and come together, and we will rescue Benue from the draconian rule it’s currently experiencing under APC,” he said.
Senator Moro also bemoaned the current state of the country, saying Nigerians are suffering due to self-inflicted woes.
“Nigerians had the best opportunity to elect their best leader in 2023 but chose the current one, which has brought upon them an untold hardship. But don’t worry; we shall recover the country; our party members are united,” he added.
