President Ahmed Bola Tinubu GCFR, through the Honourable Minister of Education, Prof. Mamman Tahir, OON has inaugurated Members of the Governing Councils of Federal Tertiary Institutions in Abuja.
The Inauguration Ceremony which was held today, 4th July, 2024 at the National Universities Commission, Abuja featured several appointees of the president.
Dr Dickson Akoh whose appointment was earlier announced by the federal government along side others, was today inaugurated as Member of the Governing Council of Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa. The University Board will be chaired by Prof. Onimawo Ignatius Akhakhia.
Immediately after the Inauguration Ceremony conducted by the Honourable Minister of Education, Members of the Governing Council of Federal Universities proceeded for a Two-Day Retreat at the main auditorium of the National University Commission, Maitama, Abuja.
Goodwill messages were delivered at the ceremony by Executive Secretaries of National Commission for Colleges of Education, Prof. Pauline Chijioke, National Board for Technical Education, Prof. Idris Bugaje and National Universities Commission, Mr. Chris Maiyaki.
In his reaction, Dr Akoh appreciates President Bola Tinubu for this kind gesture and the confidence reposed on him, while promising to give his best in the discharge of his duties as Member of the Governing Council.
