Distinguished Senator Abba Moro, Sunday morning, received physically challenged persons from Zone C in his Otukpo home.
The delegation, led by the Zone C Coordinator of persons living with disability in Zone C, Abraham Onoja, comprised of Coordinators of the Nine LGAs.
Speaking on behalf of the team, the Zonal Coordinator, Mr Abraham, said they were in the Senator’s home to thank and appreciate him for what he’s doing for Zone C.
He said they always followed the Senator’s activities, as being reported in the media and what they are witnessing on ground, and are very satisfied with him. They prayed God to continue to strengthen the Comrade-Senator to do more for the people of Benue South and Nigerians at large.
Tabling their demand, Abraham appealed to the Senator to remember them in his empowerment programmes. He said they would love to be gainfully empowered so that they stopped depending on people for survival.
Responding, Senator Moro said he was overwhelmed by the show of love shown by his guests. He said the persons living with disability in Zone C, against all odds, played active roles in his election in 2019, an effort, he said, he won’t forget.
On the plea for empowerment, the Senator said he would do everything possible to have them empowered adequately. He tasked them to make the necessary inquiries on the most suitable empowerment for them so that by next year they would start benefiting.
