Peter Aboh: Controversy as Operation Zenda allegedly murder young man in Benue

The Benue State House of Assembly’s Deputy Speaker, Hon. Mrs. Lami Danladi Ogenyi, has urged the State’s Commissioner of Police to thoroughly investigate the alleged killing of Peter Aboh Onminyi, a young man from Ado LGA, by operatives of Operation Zenda Joint Taskforce.

Onminyi was reportedly shot dead at his Makurdi residence, with the motive still unknown.

During a visit to the deceased’s family, Hon. Ogenyi assured the public that all necessary resources would be utilized to uncover the truth behind the unjustified killing.

She also visited the office of the Commander of OPS ZENDA JTF in Makurdi, where the operatives allegedly involved in the raid were based. The Deputy Speaker appealed to the youths of Benue State, particularly in Ado Local Government, to remain calm and law-abiding, promising that justice would prevail.

Hon. Ogenyi was accompanied by fellow lawmakers Hon. Agada Ismail Samuel (Ogbadibo State Constituency) and Hon. Ikyan Douglas (Makurdi South Constituency) during the visit.
