The Editorial Board of Idoma Voice Newspapers has named serial entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr Peter Peter Adejoh of Camey & Rock Business Consulting Ltd, as winner of its ‘Man of the Year’ Award for 2022.
IDOMA MAN of the YEAR is the highest honour bestowed on an individual by the premier newspaper in Idoma community.
A statement by the Chairman of the 2020 Award Committee, Joshua Uloko, said in awarding IDOMA VOICE MAN OF THE YEAR investiture, the Editorial Board of the newspaper and the committee looked at individuals, whose “public conduct and action helped to inspire hope for a better Idoma community.”

Uloko said Adejoh emerged winner following his humanitarian works in Benue South, especially the erection of ultra-modern hospital in his hometown in Orokam coupled with other empowerment programmes for the youths and elderly.
He said that although, such award is not peculiar to IDOMA VOICE alone, the newspaper confers the award with every sense of responsibility.
Past winners of the award included: Chris Morgan, Enenche Obonyilo Peters, Prof Shamsudeen Amali, Ogenyi Onazi, Imelda J, Godshield Orokpo, George Alli, Amb. Dickson Akoh, Abel Success, late Idoma gospel singer Evang. Otulu Peter, Gordon Oche, Hon. James Oche and Emmanuel Akpakwu.
The committee also named Mesach Owunebe Oko, better known as Uncle Wowo as winner of its ‘Voice of Idoma’ category.
Chief Mike Onoja is the winner of ‘Pillar of Idoma’ category.
While congratulating the winners, Uloko urged them not to relent on their oars but continue to raise the ‘red and black’ flag of the Idoma ethnic group.
