1. The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Saturday returned from his Egypt trip.

Obi had announced his departure for Egypt to study the country’s education, power, planning and finance achievements.

2. The former Anambra State Governor was on Sunday at the Men of Valour conference with the theme: “Navigating the corridors of power, the church, and the politics” organized by the Revival House of International Church (RHOGIC) in Abuja.
At the conference, Obi lamented that made people have now taken over the affairs of Nigeria.

3. The New Nigeria Peoples Party has dismissed reports that its Presidential Candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, will contest the 2023 Presidential elections as running mate to his counterpart in the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi.

According to the NNPP, there was never a time such a discussion or negotiation was held.

4. Members of the two majority parties in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress in Imo North Senatorial District of Imo State on Sunday collapsed their structures into the Labour Party and pledged their loyalty and support to its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

No fewer than two thousand people joined the LP at a ceremony at Umuaro community in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the state.

A former Deputy Chief of Staff to a former governor of the state, Chikwem Onuoha, said that the decision was reached after an investigation revealed that Obi was the best presidential material among other presidential candidates.

5. No fewer than 15,000 youths and women from northern Nigerian state of Nasarawa have vowed to support the presidential ambition of Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election.

Speaking to newsmen in Lafia on Sunday, the State Southern Zonal Chairman of Peter Obi Candidacy Movement, Victor Laka, explained that the youths decided to support the former Anambra State governor because of his leadership qualities.

6. Peter Obi, who just returned from a three-day trip to Egypt, has said he went to Egypt to understudy the country’s power and educational system in order to implement same in Nigeria, if voted into power in 2023.
Obi who granted a radio interview in Nigeria, shortly after he returned to the country, said he was pleased with the development in the power and education sectors in Egypt, insisting that from what he learnt in Egypt, he was convinced that if implemented in Nigeria, the county would be able to increase its power generation, distribution and transmission from the current state to over 20,000 megawatts within a space of five years.

7. Human rights activist and co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls Movement, Aisha Yesufu has given 10 reasons she cannot be the vice-presidential candidate to the Labour Party’s presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi.
She gave the reasons on her Twitter page on Friday to lay to rest speculations linking her as the LP running mate for former Anambra Governor in the 2023 presidential election.
8. A socio-political organisation based in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, Odimma Umuigbo yesterday said that despite the criticism and gang up by some Igbo leaders against the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, millions of youths and the elite across the country are in massive support of his ambition.

9. The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria, AMEN, Fr Ejike Mbaka, has apologized to the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, whom he called a ‘stingy man’ that would never become the next President of Nigeria.
Mbaka in a statement during the weekend, blessed Obi, praying that he (Obi) would succeed in his political career.

10. he Nigerian Medical Association has clarified that it has not endorsed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, for president in 2023.
The NMA made the clarification against social media reports that it has endorsed Obi.
