1. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have pledged to support, campaign and do everything within their power to ensure the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi wins in 2023.

The NLC and TUC Presidents, Comrade Ayuba Wabba and Quadri Olaleye made the pledge in their different welcome addresses during the 10th anniversary lecture in honour of the third President of NLC, the late Pascal Bayau, on Tuesday in Abuja.

2. ANAMBRA State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has denied the statement credited to him that he mocked the Labour Party, LP, and its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, describing the report as totally false and unfounded.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, Mr. Christian Aburime said checks showed that the statement was a total misrepresentation of what the governor said during his interaction with some audience after his 100 days in office media broadcast.

3. Pan-Igbo socio political pressure group, the South East Revival Group (SERG) has commended what it described as “rare patriotic view” of the Director of Publicity and Advocacy of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, on Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

The SERG, in a statement signed by its President and National Coordinator, Chief Willy Ezugwu, said that the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum “never spoke as a politician but as a patriot and courageous statesman.”

4. A former member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin has said that the South East will only be wasting their votes if they decide to go the way of the Labour Party in 2023.
Jibrin said the safest route for the South East to become President is to back Kwankwaso who will hand over to the region at the end of his tenure
5. The South East Revival Group (SERG) has hailed the “rare patriotic view” of Hakeem Baba-Ahmed on Labour Party (LP) presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi
Baba-Ahmed, a former permanent secretary, served as Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) secretary.
