Dino Melaye, the spokesperson of Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council, has said it is not yet the time for Peter Obi of the Labour Party to become the president of Nigeria.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Melaye said Peter Obi lacked what it takes to lead Nigeria as a president.
Melaye maintained that Atiku had engaged in interactions with Nigerians and he is confident of winning.
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, was at the ongoing convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
IDOMA VOICE reports that the 2022 convention is currently ongoing at the Redemption Camp, along the Lagos Ibadan expressway, Ogun State.
The congregants could not hide their excitement as they screamed the moment it was announced that the LP presidential candidate was in the Redemption Camp for the first time.
This is coming a few weeks after Obi received a rousing welcome at the Glory Dome of the Dunamis Church during the Mid Year Worship in Abuja.
Socio-political commentator and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has described Peter Obi, Labour Party’s presidential candidate, as a criminal.
Adeyanju said Obi stole billions of naira from Anambra state while he was the governor and put it in his family business.
He also described Atiku Abubakar, PDP presidential candidate as a smart looter who milked the country dry as vice president between 1999-2007.
The former PDP media director also accused Bola Tinubu, APC presidential candidate of using his company to collect revenue for Lagos State.
Femi Kuti, son of afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti, has described supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate for 2023, Peter Obi, also known as “Obidients,” as zombies.
Zombie was the title of a studio album released in 1976 by his late father, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, when he derided Nigerian soldiers as a bunch of robotic and senseless individuals.
“You know what obedience means? Stand up, sit down, sit there — zombie,” Mr Kuti said during a performance at the Shrine Thursday night in Lagos, wondering why Mr Obi’s popularity has grown rapidly in recent months.
“How can you be Obidient in this chaos? I am not Obidient. Tell me, at 60, why am I Obidient? You said I should be Obidient, sit down, be peaceful,” he said. “Are you all okay in this country?”
