Peter Obi sends condolence message to Wizkid

Peter Obi, the prominent figure behind the OBIdient movement in Nigeria, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Wizkid following the passing of his mother.

Obi offered his prayers for strength and solace to Wizkid and his family during this difficult time.

The message conveyed by the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party reads as follows: “On behalf of the OBIdient family, I express my deepest sympathies to Mr. Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid), who has reportedly lost his beloved mother. The loss of a cherished family member is an immensely painful experience, especially when it is one’s dear mother.

“Dear Wizkid, may the Almighty God, who has called her to her eternal home, provide her with eternal peace in His realm. May He also grant you and your family the strength to cope with the irreplaceable void left by her departure.

“May you be blessed and upheld always. – PO”

Wizkid’s mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on Friday.

Though the Afrobeat sensation has yet to publicly address the incident, his manager Sunday Aare has confirmed the unfortunate news.

Aare stated, “Yes, she passed away early this morning, around 1:30 am.”
