Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party, has described the killing of soldiers by terrorists in Abuja as avoidable.
IDOMA VOICE recalls that some gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram insurgents, on Monday, attacked the Presidential Guards Brigade in Abuja, killing at least two soldiers.
Reacting, Obi in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, sent his condolences to the families of the deceased.
He tasked President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to take urgent actions in addressing the security crisis rocking the nation.
He wrote, “I deeply console the families and loved ones of our soldiers killed by terrorists. It’s becoming a regular duty to send such condolences of avoidable deaths.
“So sad! Our government should please do whatever is necessary to stop these daily flows of tears…PO”
