Peter Obi will never be president as long as I live – Reno Omokri

Socio-political activist Reno Omokri has pledged that he will go to great lengths to prevent Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), from ever becoming the President of Nigeria. Omokri expressed his determination to ensure Obi’s defeat, even if it means spending all his resources in the process.

The former presidential aide, who has been an outspoken critic of Obi and his supporters, claimed that his family has endured considerable hardship due to what he described as the “ill-mannered” behavior of Obi’s followers. He expressed deep resentment toward Obi’s political agenda and vowed that he would not live to see Obi take residence in the Presidential Villa as an elected president.

Following the recent ruling by the Presidential Election Tribunal that upheld Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory as Nigeria’s President, Obi’s quest to unseat him has shifted to the Supreme Court. However, Omokri’s firm opposition remains unchanged.

“Peter Obi, I am waiting for you in 2027 and 2031, God willing. Because of what your supporters did to my then one-year-old daughter and my family, I have sworn that you will never hold the Presidency,” Omokri wrote on X shortly after the Tribunal’s decision.

He further emphasized, “Nobody has suffered from your ill-mannered followers like my family and I. And even if it means spending everything I have, I will do it to ensure that Nigeria never makes the mistake of electing you as her President, now and forever.”
