Renowned musician Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, has launched a campaign to rally support for the ailing veteran actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu. According to reports by The Nation, Mr. Ibu and his family have released an emotional video in which they appeal for both financial aid and prayers on his behalf.

Mr. Ibu revealed that the doctor has indicated that the last resort in addressing his medical condition would involve amputating his leg if other treatment options prove ineffective.

In an Instagram post, Mr. P described Mr. Ibu as a beloved figure who has brought smiles to countless faces and urged the public to provide both financial assistance and prayers. Mr. Ibu has expressed his strong aversion to the amputation option and implored for support through prayers, emphasizing the life-altering impact of losing a leg.

Sharing Mr. Ibu’s account details for donations, Peter Okoye stated: “Our very own @realmribu (John Okafor) needs our help as he faces a medical challenge. Our Nollywood legends deserve better, and it’s time for the people to show him love for bringing joy to our screens all these years. I pledge my full support for him, and I implore my colleagues, friends, family, and fans to assist him in any way possible. He requires our prayers and financial support during this challenging time. Let’s pray for his swift recovery, and may God grant him permanent healing, our dear veteran.”
