Tears and glowing tributes have continued to pour in for the late Idoma gospel music lgenes, Evang. Peter Otulu.

Otulu passed away on Tuesday after battling undisclosed ailment at St. Daniels Hospital, Eupi, Otukpo.

The singer was believed to be in his mid 70s.

Speaking on his demise, Apostle Theo Ebonyi, of the Faith on the Rock Ministry wrote, “How do I start writing about your departure??

“What do I call this a dark night or a red night? What a blow, I grew up to meet your song, you thought me how to sing, you thought me Idoma alphabet, I sat under you for six years and u thought me all including proverbs, my legend, my icon, who can do it like you in Idoma land?

“You made students find it easy to write CRK, your revelations for the word is so deep that no singer Idoma can get. You show some pastors how to preach…. You fought and you fought it well, the good things we share and plan, we can not achieve it again…

“Your departure is a blow to the Idoma nation; no one can take your place… When you told me good bye I thought we will still see, not knowing is a good night… Rest well with your maker the whole Idoma land will forever miss you.

Okpani Peter Otulu RIP.”

On his part, Ojobo Benny said, “ Peter Owoicho Otulu, till time fades can my memory ever sleep over you?

You endeared God into little children’s hearts

You injected spiritualism into the Idoma fibre, reformed families for the light kingdom

You were fearsome, rugged and rough along the call costa line

You were an impression in the heart of both the old and young…

You were a pure wine of God we all drank and keep drinking till death.

You were a brand not seen any were near the four airs of the idoma hangs

Nature giving up on you now is a dismay to all of us who were the watchers of your dynamic life you brought into the Christan gospel light.

Over three decades you have fought for your Daddy’s kingdom as a warrior of light, how amiable?

Your last song, where you were pleading with God, saying whatever I have done which broke your heart and may not let me home, Daddy please forgive made me cry so much. What a man?

I,we loved you so much many of us you have not seen one on one. We thee we love…

As you depart,I am weeping so much and time cannot clean time so is in this case..

Far well holy warrior, far well, precious heart. Far well to a warrior of light. Far well to a companion and custadian of light and Truth.

My heart bleed and yet said,it well.. Weldon lovely brother. You have finished your race. Rest on Oinem,Okwulohiganme gamme…
