The commencement of sales at Lagos’ food market, “Ounje Eko,” offering discounted prices on essential food items across the state, has been initiated, as reported by The Nation. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu directed that food products at these markets be sold at reduced rates in all five divisions of Lagos, starting from Sunday, March 17.
Following the Lagos state government’s announcement on February 22 of various interventions to alleviate economic challenges faced by residents, staple food items such as rice, beans, garri, bread, eggs, tomatoes, and pepper are now available at a 25% discount.
