This tragedy comes just over two weeks after another light plane crash occurred in Queensland, where the pilot tragically lost their life as well. The pilot of a “kit-built” aircraft perished in the Southern Downs region after the plane crashed and subsequently burst into flames, sparking a grass fire.
A local farmer, who was the first to spot the blaze, reported the incident to emergency services while attempting to contain the fire. Subsequently, fire crews arrived and managed to gain control over the situation. Investigations into both crashes are ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to establish the circumstances surrounding these tragic events.
