Plane crash: Lt. Gen Attahiru: Senator Moro mourns Chief of Army Staff, others, calls for investigation

The Senator Representing the good people of Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, receives with shock the death of Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru.

Report says the army chief and other personnel lost their lives after a military plane crashed near the Kaduna Airport on Friday.

Senator Moro, who doubles as Deputy Chairman, Senate Committees on Army and Inter-parliamentary Affairs, describes the death of Lt. Gen Attahiru as unfortunate.

The lawmaker decries the sudden death of the Army Chief at a time the nation needed his service in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

He commiserates with his immediate family and the Nigerian Army over the sad loss.

Senator Moro calls on the Accident Investigation Bureau and other relevant agencies to urgently investigate the what led to the air mishap.
