Unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have attacked and killed three youths and injured one other in Tyana Village, Rahoss Ward in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The attack is coming barely one week when the Plateau State Governor and Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, Barr. Simon Lalong had warned that his administration would no longer take excuses of “unknown gunmen” who kill and maim Plateau State citizens at will.
Member Representing Riyom State Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly Hon. Timothy Datong confirmed the attacked and described the killing of the three youths as unfortunate.
“On Sunday night four youths were attacked by unknown gunmen in my constituency Riyom, three were killed while one sustained injury, I am on my way to the village now,” he said.
He described the incident as sad, saying it very unfortunate that the attacked is coming at the time the state is working hard to ensure peace.
It would be recalled that Governor Lalong had directed that killers in the state must be fished out at all cost.
