Dr. Ebere, the suspected rapist, who was arrested in Otukpo area of Benue State on Wednesday, has revealed what pushed him into having canal knowledge of an 11-year-old girl.

IDOMA VOICE reporters suspect, 32, who was nabbed by the vigilante group on Wednesday, blamed depression and alcohol for his action.

Speaking with newsmen shorting after his arrest, the medical doctor, who hailed from Odapa in Oju LGA, called on Nigerians to pray for him.

“I need prayer. This is very shameful. It was influence of alcohol, depression and other life experiences that I am facing that caused this.

“If not, I am married with children, my wife is still staying with me.

“I am 32. Myself I am not happy. This is a very big shame. I need everybody to pray for me, I don’t know what came over me,” he pleaded.
