The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has apprehended Gabriel Elihu, a former soldier who was wearing military attire, for his involvement in an attempted kidnapping in the FCT.
Elihu was taken into custody on March 17th after he tried to abduct two individuals traveling from Gishiri village to H-Medix in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja. Residing in Apo Mechanic Village in the FCT, Elihu and his accomplices pursued the victims using an unregistered Toyota Hilux.
After robbing the victims of their possessions, they attempted to take them to an undisclosed location, prompting the victims to raise an alarm. Promptly acting on the information received, the police intercepted the suspects and made the arrests.
During the parade of the suspects at the FCT Police Command in Abuja on Wednesday, Commissioner Benneth Igweh disclosed that a black Toyota Hilux with the license plate number NBB 03 AH (Nasarawa) was recovered from the scene.
