Police arrest DSS, NSCDC officials for alleged kidnap of businesses man

The Osun State Police Command has arrested officers of sister security agencies over the alleged abduction of a businessman in the Sabo area of the state. More details concerning the incident got revealed during a recent report by TVC News.

The Nigerian Police Force is not relenting efforts in the fight against kidnapping and other criminal activities across the country.

Addressing the development, the Commissioner for Police in Osun State, Olawale Olokode, said, “The complainant, a Bureau de Change businessman in the Sabo area of Osogbo, reported that some armed men invaded his office and whisked him away to a bush along Ilesha road. The abductors eventually demanded ransom and dispossessed the victim of the N204,000 found on him. The victim was left in the bush to find his way. The police tactical team apprehended one of the assailants during an investigation, and the suspect confessed to the crime. The suspect named his accomplices. Members of sister security agencies are under interrogation concerning the kidnapping.”

TVC News reports that the prime suspect, Ajibola Ogunibi, allegedly connived with some DSS and NSCDC officers to kidnap the Bureau de Change businessman. Ajibola reportedly received N15,000 from the proceeds of the operation.
