The Thailand Regional narcotics police have arrested a Nigerian man identified as Michael Ikenna and his Thai girlfriend for allegedly peddling cocaine across the country.
Ikenna, 36, and Nantana Chiewpanitch, 25, were arrested in a sting operation conducted by undercover police who arranged to purchase 10 grams of cocaine on March 26.
The officers then searched their apartment in Bangkok, where they recovered cocaine and hundreds of plastic bags used to package drugs for sale.
Ikenna had claimed he was an exporter of dried dory fish to Nigeria but the police revealed it is a shell company used to launder his drug money.
